1.  Mr. Julian Arthur Luke, Headmaster

Mr. Julian Arthur Luke, Head Master is an M.A from CSJM University, Kanpur, an M.Sc from Sikkim Manipal, University and a B.Ed from Annamalai University. He has worked in St Peter’s School, Mazagaon, Mumbai from 1993 - 1997, in Boys High School and College from 1997 - 2002, in Bishops Johnson School and College from 2002 - 2008, in the Bishop’s School Camp, Pune as Asst. Head Master from 2008 - 2010, in the G D Birla Memorial Ranikhet from 2010 - 2011 as a Vice Principal, in Devprayag Allahabad in 2011 as a Principal. Mr. Julian Arthur Luke is a keen sportsman and excels in cricket, football and basketball. He was the captain of his school team as well. He has received the ‘A K DAS’ silver medal for best athlete ‘A’ Division, The Most Scientific boxer, at the Boys High School and College, the House captain in Green House and the Prefect in B H S and College. He also coached the BJS and College Basketball Team and was the winner of the Junior National CICSE All India ICSE school tournament. He is an avid reader. He has a professional and dignified demeanour in all interactions. He is well-informed of all the educational changes which have a bearing on his day-to-day work and stays up to date with the developments in order to provide a holistic approach to the education in the institution. He teaches English in the Senior School

2.  Mr Keith Everett, Assistant Headmaster

With a Masters in English Literature & Political Science and Bachelor in Education and a career that has spanned nineteen years, in various capacities, as Post Graduate Teacher, Academic Coordinator and as the Vice -Principal in his last assignment at St. Stephen’s Senior Secondary School, Ajmer. His areas of interests, work experience and expertise extend to academic planning, student councelling & mentoring, tracking students’ academic and co-curricular progress and organising remedial inputs, sports, music, public speaking and environmental management. He very strongly believes in the dictum, ‘those who dare to teach must never cease to learn’. To keep a commitment of learning for life, he regularly attends Lectures, seminars and workshops. He has been trained, to name a few, ‘the seven habits of highly effective people’- Stephen Covey, Multiple Intelligences – Howard Gardner, the X-seed programme – idiscoveri, Adolescence Education Programme – CBSE, Management Development Programme in School Education through Leadership - IIMC (kolkatta), Exercising Leadership in Schools – idiscoveri & Wipro, Civil Defence Training for School Safety, Emergency and First Aid Procedures. He is a trained auditor for ISO 9001:2008, monitoring all school procedures comply with this international standard. He is a voracious reader and keeps abreast with the modern pedagogies and teaching methodologies in education, incorporating hands-on and experiential learning in the classrooms. He advocates a student-centred learning that would help an individual to master a discipline, craft or profession.

3.  Mr. Trevor Jacob, Vice Principal

Mr. Trevor Jacob M.A, M.Ed, T.T.Cdid his schooling at St Francis’ College, Lucknow. Thereafter he went to Mount Hermon Training College, Darjeeling. Having taught for nearly three decades he believes that a school stands on four pillars – good academics, self discipline, excellence in sports and moral development. He has rendered his services to some of the prestigious institutions like St. Joseph’s College, Nainital, St Francis’ College, Lucknow and La Martiniere College, Lucknow. He took over as Vice Principal in April 2006.

4.  Ms. Marie Colette Fernandez, Class Teacher 5 A

Ms. Marie Colette Fernandez completed her Teachers Training from St. Mary's Junior College of Education, Pune. She has been teaching in Barnes for the past three years. Prior to that she had been teaching in St. Joseph's Convent, Nagpur for 16 years. During her free time she enjoys cooking, gardening, painting and embroidery. She is the House Mistress for the Junior Boys Dormitory. She also takes care of the chapel services on Sundays. She is the House Vice-President of Helen Keller.

5.  Mrs Preeti Russell, Class Teacher 5 B

Mrs Preeti Russell is a B.Com., M.Com., and a B.Ed. from Rani Durgavati University, Jabalpur. She has taught in Christ Church Boys Senior Secondary School, Jabalpur from 2004 to 2007. She joined Barnes in 2008. Her interests include music and dancing.

6.  Mrs. Beena Thapa, Class Teacher 5 C

Mrs. Beena Thapa is a B.A. from the Jamshedpur Womens College and a B.Ed. from the Loyola College of Education, Ranchi University. Mrs. Thapa joined Barnes after teaching for 18 years in various schools viz. St. Joseph's Convent, Darjeeling, St. Paul's School, Patna, Valley View School, Jamshedpur and Priceless Pearl Scholars Academy. She excels in needle-work and artificial flower making besides her interests in music, cooking and reading.

7.  Mrs. Mercy Thomas, Class Teacher 6 A

Mrs. Mercy Thomas is a B.Sc. from the Catholicate College, Kerala University and a B.Ed. from Bharatiya Shiksha Parishad, U.P. She has also completed her Computer programming from I.C.I.T. Infotech, Mumbai. She has taught in the Army Schools of Missamari, Assam and Devlai and two years at Podar International School, Nasik before joining Barnes in 2009. her interests include stitching and drawing.

8.  Mrs. Hazel Phillips, Class Teacher 6 B

Mrs. Hazel Phillips  is a B.A., B.Ed. from Bombay University. She has worked in Vasant Vihar High School in Thane for 8 years and has been teaching in Barnes for the past 7 years. She is in-charge of games like cross-country, throw ball, discuss and shot put. She spends her free time doing embroidery and is always ready to render help to anybody in need.

9.  Mr. Dadu Sonawane, Class Teacher 6 C

Mr. Dadu Sonawane is an M.A., from Pune University and a B.Ed. from Jalgaon University. He taught in Priceless Pearl Scholars Academy, Igatpuri for five years before joining Barnes in 2008. He enjoys singing and playing cricket. His interests include reading and listening to music.

10.  Mr. Jullian Redden, Class Teacher 7 A

Mr. Julian Patrick Redden  is a B.A. from Madurai Kamoraj University and a Trained Teachers Certificate from Mount Hermon College. Mr. Redden is a highly experienced teacher and an excellent football coach. He has taught in Elias Meyer School, Kolkata from 1987 – 1989, The Assembly of God Church School, Dankuni, West Bengal from 1989 – 1994 and then came to Barnes and taught here till 2004. He then left for Bishops School, Pune where he taught till 2010 and he has rejoined Barnes this year. Mr. Redden is an excellent vocalist, guitarist and drummer besides teaching English, History and Geography. He is active sportsman and plays football, cricket, hockey, basketball, tennis and volleyball.

11.  Ms. Rhea Periera, Class Teacher 7 B

Ms. Rheaa Periera has completed her Teachers? Training Certificate from St. Mary?s College of Education, Pune. She has also completed her B.Ed in English and Mathematics from Mumbai University and B. Com from Pillai?s College, New Panvel, Mumbai University. She was teaching Mathematics and Science in classes 5, 6 and 7 at Mangaon in the year 2005 ? 2006. She was also the Class Teacher for standard 1 at Kimmins School, Panchgani in the year 2008 ? 2009. In 2010 ? 2011 she taught Mathematics for classes 8, 9 and 10 and Science for classes 5, 6 and 7 in Mangaon. She is interested in reading fiction novels and needlework. She is a talented person and loves singing in the choir. She is currently the Class Teacher of Class 7 A.

12.  Mrs Shamainder Parmar, Class Teacher 7 C

Mrs Shamainder Parmar is a B.Sc., M.A., B.Ed. from Punjab University. She has taught in Delhi Public School, Himshika from 1995 - 1995 and then joined Barnes. She has varied interests in calligraphy, embroidery, French, cooking and drawing. She enjoys games like golf, chess and solitaire. She also equips herself with updates on nutrition and health. She is in charge of the cookery activity in the school. Her interests include lone compeering, debates, poster making, collage and camping..

13.  Mr. Christopher Paul Dinger, Class Teacher 8 A

Mr. Christopher Paul Dinger is a B.A. from Pune University and a Trained Teachers Certificate from Mount Hermon Training College, Darjeeling. He joined Barnes in 1988 and has completed 22 years in the school. He conducts the Barnes School Chapel Service on Sundays. His interests includes watching films and news programmes. He enjoys games like football and cricket.

14.  Mr. Francis D’souza, Class Teacher 8 B

Mr. Francis D’souza is a B.Com. from Bidhan Chandra College, Burdwan University and a Trained Teachers Certificate from Mount Hermon College, Darjeeling. He has taught in Junior Citizens Academy, Pokhra, Nepal for a year and then in St. Patrick's Higher Secondary School, Asansol for four years before joining Barnes in 2006. Besides being an excellent sportsman in many sports including chess, water polo and base ball, he has a keen eye for painting and craft work. He also excels in athletics like javelin, discuss, shot put, high jump, long jump and triple jump. He is the House President of Candy and Block Master for Classes 5 & 6.

15.  Mrs. Mamta Rajput, Class Teacher 8 C

Mrs. Mamta Rajput is an M.Sc., B.Ed. from Bombay University. She has taught in Elphinstone College, Bombay for a year, Air Force School, Pathankot for four years, Kendriya Vidalaya, Bathinda for 3 years, Happy Hours School, Jodhpur for three years and the Government Degree College, Suratgarh, Rajasthan for one year before joining Barnes in 2009. Her interests include reading and gardening. She enjoys watching cricket and football.

16.  Mr. Vijay Musale, Class Teacher 9 A

Mr. Vijay Musale is a B.Sc., M.P.M. from Pune University and a B.Ed. from Mumbai University. He has taught in Priceless Pearl Scholars Academy, Igatpuri for six years and joined Barnes in 2009. He is interested in quizzes, reading, cycling, trekking, and environmental rambles. He enjoys games like cricket, football, hockey and basketball.

17.  Mrs. Dola Sengupta, Class Teacher 9 B

Mrs. Dola Sengupta has completed her B.Sc (Hons.) in Geography from Presidency College of Calcutta and B.Ed from Birla College of Calcutta with First Class. She has worked in St John’s High School in Calcutta in the year 1992 – 1995, also in Vivekananda Mission in Calcutta in the year 1997 – 2001 and New Era English School in Nashik in year 2002 – 2009. She loves football and is very talented in Sangeet Prabhakar in Indian Classical Music. She is currently the Class Teacher of 9 B.

18.  Mrs. Smita Kulkarni, Class Teacher 9 C

Mrs. Smita Kulkarni is an M.A., B.Ed. from Pune University. She taught at St. Patrick's School, Devlai before joining Barnes. Her interests include glass painting, embroidery, needle work and cooking. She is the House President of Edith Cavell.

19.  Mrs. Jyoti Gurung, Class Teacher 10 A

Mrs. Jyoti Gurung is an M.Sc. (zoology, parasitology) from North Bengal University and B.Ed. from Annamalai University. She has taught in the Army school and St. Joseph's Convent, Batinda for two years each and then joined Barnes School in 1997. She believes that meditation and yoga must be an integral part of one's daily routine and must be inculcated in every student. This has nothing to do with any religious beliefs. She would be glad to help in this respect. She is passionate about gardening. Her interests include swimming and singing.

20.  Mr. Mario Gunnion, Class Teacher 10 B

Mr. Mario Gunnion is a M.Sc. from Sikkim Manipal University and a B.Ed. from St. Xavier's College, Calcutta University. Mr. Gunnion has worked in St. Mary's Ripon Street, Kolkata and in St Patrick's Higher Secondary School, Asansol for 17 years where he taught Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. He has organised science exhibitions and awareness programmes. He enjoys playing cricket and football and has participated in school and college teams.

21.  Mr. Shawn Clifford Tims, Class Teacher 10 C

Mr. Shawn Clifford Tims is a B.A. (English Hons.) from Calcutta University. He also did his Trained Teachers Certificate from The Assembly of God Church Junior College, Calcutta. Mr. Tims studied vocals and piano under The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music at The Calcutta School of Music. He is the Choir Master and directs all musicals in the school. He plays the keyboard for Daily Assembly and Sunday Church Services. He is the web master of the school website. He is also the Editor and Teacher-in-charge of the school news letter The Blue and White and the school magazine, The Barnicle. His interests include web browsing, reading, music and travelling. He is also Chief Coordinator – Admissions, Block Master for Classes 7 & 8 and President of Spence House.

22.  Ms. Shibi Leen, Class Teacher 11 Science

Ms. Shibi Leen has completed her M.Sc in Chemistry from Madurai Kamraj, B.Ed in Biology and Chemistry from Bangalore, B.Sc in Chemistry from Pune and DMLT from Delhi. She has worked at Alwadi International, Jeddah, Silver Oak at Nasik, Poddar International at Nasik, FIA at Nasik and Glaxo Smith Ltd production chemist. She is interested in reading informative books and listening to music. She loves playing badminton. She is currently the Class Teacher of 11 science.

23.  Mrs. Pallavi Kasar, Class Teacher 11 Commerce

Mrs. Pallavi Kasar is a Master in Computer Management, B.Sc. in Botany from Pune University and B.Ed. from Lucknow University. She has taught in St. Patrick's Convent High School for four years, BYCTO College for Management for two years and then joined Barnes in 2008. Her interests include cooking, gardening and exploring new places. She enjoys watching cricket too.

24.  Mrs. A. Shaikh, Physics, Class Teacher 12 Science

Mrs. Azra F. Shaikh  is an M.Sc., B.Ed. from Pune University and teaches Class 11 and 12 Physics. She has earlier taught at the M.Sc. level in K.T.H.M. College in Nasik and joined Barnes in 2008. She has also done a 2 year diploma course in Computers.

25.  Mrs. Natasha Warren Gupta, Class Teacher 12 Commerce

Mrs. Natasha Warren Gupta is an M.Com. from G. S. College, Jabalpur and a B.Ed. from Rajiv Gandhi College, Bhopal. She has taught at Hawa Bagh College, St. Aloysius School and Christ Church School, Jabalpur. Her interests include good housekeeping and playing badminton..

26.  Mr. Ralph Stanley Russell, Coordinator – Junior College

Mr. Ralph Stanley Russell is an M.Com. , B.Ed., from Rani Durgavati University, Jabalpur. Mr. Russell has taught in Christ Church Boys Senior Secondary School, Jabalpur for 21 years and then joined Barnes in 2008. He is the Co-ordinator of the Junior College. He takes interest in music and wildlife outings and enjoys games like football and cricket. He is the House Vice-President of Greaves.

27.  Mr. P. R. Vijay Kumar Nair, Coordinator - Senior School

Mr. P. R. Vijay Kumar Nair is a B.Sc. from the University of Kerala and B.Ed. from Pune University. He has taught in Smt. Ranghubai Junnare School and St. Francis School in Nasik for three years and then joined Barnes in 1988 and has been working here for 22 years. He is the Senior School Co-ordinator, House Master for boarders of Classes 11 and 12 and President of Royal House. Mr. Nair is a talented classical Karnatik musician in the harmonium and the tabla. He takes interest in organising programmes like Independence Day and Republic Day.

28.  Mr. Malcolm Ovichegan, Coordinator - Middle School

Mr. Malcolm Ovichegan is an M.A. (Politics) from The University of Sheffield, England, M.A. (History) Mumbai University and B.Ed. & M.Ed. from The Bharatiya Shiksha Parishad, India. He is the Middle School Co-ordinator, Block Master for boarders of Classes 9 and 10 and House President of Greaves House. His interests include driving and reading philosophical literature. He enjoys volleyball, football and swimming.

29.  Mr. Brian Fernandez, Instructor ? Spoken English & Swimming

Mr. Brian Fernandez studied in St. Columba's School, New Delhi and completed his Trained Teachers Certificate from Mount Hermon Teachers Training College, Darjeeling. After teaching in Goethals Memorial School, Kurseong for two years, he joined Barnes in 1987. He is an avid reader and a computer wizard. His interests include swimming and travelling. He is currently in charge of the swimming and spoken English classes.

30.  Mrs. Rashmi Gosavi, Marathi

Mrs. Rashmi Gosavi is an M.A. from the University of Pune and a B.Ed. from the University of Nanded. She teaches Marathi. She joined Barnes in 2002. She enjoys cooking and painting.

31.  Mr. Daljit Singh, Physical Education

Mr. Daljit Singh completed his 12th Standard and then did his P.T. Army courses from Simla and Pune. He is a C.P. Ed. From Gwalior. He has been a physical instructor at the NDA, Pune for a year, P.T. School Simla for 2 years and at the Army Training Centre, Nasik for 10 years. He plays basketball, football, hockey and volleyball and coaches the players too.

32.  Mr. Ronald Fernandez, Physical Education

Mr. Ronald Fernandes completed his SSLC, C.P.Ed. from Benyon Smith College of Physical Education, Karnataka State Board, B.A. B.PEd from Bangalore University, M.A. M.PEd from Bangalore University and N.I.S. from Patiala. Mr. Karmakar has for 19 years in Sanjeewan Vidalaya Residential School and Junior College, Panchgani, Vishwashati Gurukul, IB World School, Pune for 2 years, Fravashi School, Nasik for 2 years.

33.  Mr. Sachin Kulkarni, Computers

Mr. Sachin Kulkarni.  is a B. A. from Pune University. He has done his Diploma in Computer Technology from the Maharashtra Board of Technical Education, Basic and Cobol from NIIT. He joined Barnes School in 1990. He is interested in photography and games like chess, cricket and badminton. He is the House Vice-President of Spence.

34.  Mrs. Anjum Rehman, Librarian

Mrs. Anjum Rehman, Librarian,  is a B.Com(auditing Hons.) B.Lib. & Inf.Sc., M.Lib. & Inf. Sc. from Pune University. She is the school librarian. She joined Barnes in 1990. She enjoys reading.

35.  Mr. Ashutosh Jadhav Subject Teacher - Art

Mr. Ashutosh Jadhav is an A. T. D. and G. D. in Art from the J.J. School of Art, Mumbai and the Nasik Kalanikalen. He taught at the Darshan Academy, Devlali for two years and joined Barnes thereafter. He excels in paintings, murals, sculpture and all types of art work.

36.  Mr. Sundeep Sathe, Subject Teacher

Mr. Sundeep Sathe  Aan M.A., B.Ed. from Rani Durgavati Vishvavidalya, Jabalpur. He has taught in Christ Church School, Jabalpur for 14 years and joined Barnes in 2003. His interests include reading and music. He enjoys games like hockey and football.

37.  Ms. Meenakshi Sharma, Subject Teacher

Ms. Meenakshi Sharma has done her M.A in Hindi from Nehru College FBD (M.D.U) and M.Ed from (M.D.U). She had worked in Nehru College, Faridabad in the year 1997 ? 1998, then worked for nine years in Ashok Memorial Public School Faridabad in the year 1998 ? 2007 and also worked in Army school, Devlali in 2008- 2010. Ms. Meenakshi Sharma is very interested in reading, listening to music, cooking, writing poems and stories. She loves to go on tours and trips. Her favorite games are badminton, cricket, kho- kho and throw ball. She is currently teaching Hindi.

38.  Mr. Furgus Simmons, Subject Teacher

Mr. Furgus Simmons has done his B.A from North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon in the year 2008, then he completed his B.P.Ed from North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon in the year 2010. He is interested in listening to music, cooking, playing, hiking and coaching football. His favourite games are football, cricket, hockey and basketball. He is simple hearted and is ready to take up challenges in life.

39.  Ms. Anupama Singh, Subject Teacher

Ms. Anupama Singh has done her M.A in Hindi from Pune University, her B.Ed from Nagpur University and has also done Journalism from Y.C.M.O.U open university. She worked at St. Francis High School from 1st August 2006 ? 31st January 2007 and in Ashoka Universal School from 1st February 2007 ? 13th May 2011. She is interested in teaching, reading, yoga and meditation. Her favourites games are kho-kho and chess. She is talented in yoga, pronayam, meditation, counseling and astrology. She is currently teaching Hindi, Sanskrit and crafts

40.  Ms. A. Badgujar, Subject Teacher

Ms. A. Badgujar has completed her M. Sc in Mathematics and B.Ed from North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon. She worked at Little Flower English Medium School, Jamner for 2 years, then at Kendriya Vidyalay, Deolali for six months and then at Ram ratna Vidyamandir Boys Residential School, Mumbai. She likes badminton and chess. She is currently teaching Mathematics.
